Training events

Three specialised training events will take place in three countries of the partnership, aiming to enhance  NGOs professionals’ knowledge, skill and competencies in P/CVE. The 1st training event will consolidate the trainees’ knowledge on radicalisation. The 2nd will enhance the trainees’ knowledge on radicalisation risk screening. And the 3rd will benefit from PR6, therefore maximising the trainees’ knowledge on the adaptation of interventions accordingly to the individual’s risk level.

Past Training Events
For the first time in person, the R2COM project brought together civil society practitioners with one major goal: capacitating them in the comprehensive prevention of radicalisation in post-release settings.

During 3 days, over 30 practitioners from Albania, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Hungary, Kosovo, Portugal, and Sweden gathered in Toulouse, France, in October 2023 to benefit from insightful and thought-provoking discussions on the topics of:
  • Radicalisation and extremism: Different ideologies and manifestations
  • The uses of restorative justice in P/CVE
  • The challenges posed by the prison setting and their transition to the reintegration stage
Building upon the solid network of civil society and reintegration professionals established, the R2COM project once again brought them together in its second specialised training event.

During 3 days, over 40 practitioners from Albania, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Hungary, Kosovo, Portugal, and Sweden gathered in Brescia, Italy, in February 2024 to co-jointly learn more about radicalisation, its assessment, and implications for the post-release setting, learning also from adjacent topics, namely:
  • Peace-building
  • Conspiracy theories
  • Juveline and correctional justice
